The staff failed her miserably on every level. Someone poisoned her and this was swept under the rug like dust. There is no way the staff can FAIL to provide her the care she needed and still walk free and have jobs. The Nurse should be ashamed. Any trained health professional should know that this young lady was in desperate need of medical attention and they need to be thrown in the same jail cell this woman suffered in. This will come back to ALL involved in due time trust that. To the family- keep fighting for justice!!

America's COBRA laws are violated constantly. People are just left to die in the US! In my town, they all get dumped under the same bridge where the homeless congregate during the days. If they die, it's just written off as homelessness. You can have insurance and still get thrown out of a hospital.

The news crew should have es courted that homeless lady right back and said “we will wait right here until you fully treat her”.

The vast majority of DUI/DWI offenders HAVE MULTIPLE REPEAT CHARGES/CONVICTIONS they have proven time after time they cant be trusted or given any slack. its literally a slap on the wrist for them this days. THE LAWS NEED TO CHANGE FOR THIS PEOPLE!

I was in a psych unit down in Dothan Alabama, on he border with Florida. There was a schizophrenic dude that they discharged with me. When I got on the elevator a staff member said be a good citizen and make sure this guy gets on the bus and gets off in Montgomery. I kept my eye on him to make sure he got on but didn't babysit him. He definitely wasn't high functioning. When we arrived in Montgomery he just walked off to live in the streets. This is what made me realize how bad our healthcare system is. Now if they won't take me at the local psych unit they'll have to get a judge to order me somewhere because I'm not going back to ANY big city hospital, they are HORRIBLE! I'm lucky to have an awesome local psych unit!

Wow, that sickening. That woudl never happen here in the state I live in. Thats sickening. There should be a law that doesn't allow that. This is the problem with private hospitals and healthcare for money. They don't care about people its all about the $$$. Maybe hospitals should be run by the government, that or we need very strict laws with penalties that if that happens the guy at the top goes to jail and gets fined millions. That poor old woman.
